    Folks,

    Was the original black Delco battery the same in 1984 and 1985? None of my books answer this question...

      Yes it was. Thanks to Dave McLellan and Jerry Palmer and his staff at GM they selected color for for the new Corvette (C4)wires, engine, and even the battery. Delco Freedom Battery no longer came red, white, and blue. All 84 and 85's had the Delco Black Freedom II. 500 CCA.
