Any "must sees" on Saturday at Carlisle ?

Lady Luck is going to put this Kansas po-dunk in Carlisle on Saturday. It will be my first visit at this event. I'm sure most of the parts bargins will be gone, but I want to drink in the spectacle of it all anyway.

The offical Carlisle website lists a Corvette Parade into town and street dance Saturday evening that sounds pretty cool. Anything else I don't want to miss? (I plan to get by the NCRS and Vettehead booths to meet some of you weazles too...you have been forewarned)

I welcome any and all advice on this one. The event sounds to big to see in one day, so I need to make the most of what I have...

        Tom,

I love that answer! There will be a lot of scratching going on after reading that answer. You just gotta be at Carlisle to understand!

        Regards,

        JR

That's a big 10-4 on the Big Smokeys. Just make sure you give yourself at least 3 hours, before you get in the car for the ride home. Otherwise you'll miss the man with the gold teeth and have to look for a "special spot" on the way home.

I know the "Man with the gold teeth" but not sure of the "Big Smokies".

I'm with you Wayne. Don't know when I'll ever make it out there. I'm guessing that the Big Smokey's cause some intestinal distress, and you have to pay the gold tooth guy a quarter to use the facilities. Am I right?

In that case they should save their quatters and..

install a methane adapter to their car and they could drive home for free. I'll bet it can get a little tense if they're flying home. Wouldn't wanna be on that plane.

                      Duke's Big Smokie

I had a friend go with me a couple of years ago, a Good Ole boy, ate two Smokie's for beakfast, and a Turkey leg for lunch, and drank beer all day long, never saw him till the next morning, which if I remember correctly all he had the next day was water.

Think of it as throwin' a junk yard pit bull into a "toe sack" full of pissed-off bobcat...the "toe sack" will definitely be worse for the wear.
