C1 seat belts

I bought a new set of seat belts for my red/red 1960 - now to instal them - does anyone know on which side of the belt the "Irving Air Chute" tag goes on - the inside (seat side) or outside (door side or center side) of the male and female buckels.
I also understand that contrary to the AIM - the female buckel is on the door side of the seat. (at least that is the way it looks in Noland's book.

The buckle always goes to the inside. The male insert goes to the outside. As for the labels, my memory says they go on the bottom side when the belts are put around you.

I'm confused here Wayne,
every car I've owned has had the female buckle on the inside - yet the judging guide states it "has been found" on the outside (page 7) - does this mean that they can be on either the inside or the outside. THere is a picture in Nolands book on page 250 that clearly shows outside location of female buckle on a 1958.I would prefer to put them on the inside (easier to use and less likely to get scratched) but since I have to install them anyway, I'd hate to lose points over this small issue. Does anybody out there have a non-restored 1960 who can chime in - if so - then where is the female buckle and the "Air Chute" tag (it would make sense for the tag to be on the underside, just because it would look better that way).
