Don't tempt me like that again Dennis...
You start talk'in bout "zippers in a rear window" again and I'm gonna be forced to post another copy of the infamous Cumberland disgrace and his shameful display in full view of the general public at a otherwise respected Corvette gathering.

Re: C2 67
The question was weather there were any right hand mirrors that were dealer installed. The answer is "yes" there were mirrors installed on the right-hand side by dealers. The mirror installed was a left hand mirror. There was no specific "right-hand mirror" or part# for same if that is the question you are asking. Hope this helps............Bill S- Top

Re: When was there EVER a RHD Corvette?
Don -
Chevrolet never made any RHD Export Corvettes; if RHD conversion was a legal requirement for registration (as in Australia/New Zealand), those conversions were done locally at the shipping destination (at considerable expense to the owner).- Top

Re: Corvette Folklore: True of False?
Possibly a little of each. I remember an article in Corvette News in the '70s about Corvettes in Australia. I seem to remember that the requirement for all cars to be RHD had only recently been past and that many were having to convert Corvettes to RHD, hence the interest for the article.
England and many of the countries closely aligned to the Crown carried out lots of "safety" laws at the same time in the early '70s, most notable the mandatory helmet laws, for which there were no exemptions. Did you ever wonder why the Mad Max bikers wore helmets? All civilization had ended, yet they wore helmets. Possibly the RHD laws were about that same time, which would be a bit late for most SAC involvement.
Also true is that vehicles for US military in NATO stations tend to be exempt from many requirements as long as they remain in US military hands. Even selling to a US civilian there will require complying with local laws, including suddenly paying tax for importing the vehicle, even if that vehicle had been in country for years.- Top
