'57 Engine Wiring Harness

I have a late '57 dual carb four speed. The engine harness probably needs to be replaced as it is old and has some splices. In the CC catalog they list a first design (cars built before April '57) and a second design (cars built after March '57). Can anyone tell me the difference? Also, on the wiring diagram that comes from Lectric Limited and the AIM, which design is shown?

I don't recall the difference, but I used the "late" version on my June-built '57 270 4-speed about six years ago, and it worked fine.
