C1 - 57- 270 - Water Neck-

Trying to determine what correct water neck would be for a very late 57/270. I have seen aluminum 223's both with and without the depressions around the stud holes on several cars but have also seen cast iron without the depression( part nbr unknown)on several. I need to find a proper neck but do not know what to look for. I really could use some guidance on this. Thanks.

On a late '57, 2 X 4 manifold, I would expect to see an aluminun thermostat housing, embossed # 3837223, without the depressions on either side of the stud holes. Regards,
