    Battery question

    Hi all,

Who is currently producing the most authentic tar top battery repro for a '59-er ? If they are located in the east coast it would be even better...

I found http://www.turbostart.com/2smr53s.htm but I have no idea how correct these are...

    greetings,
    Rob Musquetier

      Re: Battery question

New Castle Battery in Pennsylvania is the only know vendor af a true "tar top" battery. You might give them a call at 800-622-6733, or 724-658-5501, ask for Bill Stroia

        Bill and Rob------

The good news is that both New Castle Battery and Carlisle are in Pennsylvania. The bad news is that they are about 250 miles apart.

            Re: Battery question

            Rob:
I have had three tar top batteries for my C-1s from different vendors. I purchased one for my '57 from New Castle several years ago and it is still performing like new. The other two lasted only about 2 years. As to appearance, it is authentic.
