    Racing Fuel Ratio

The members that mix 93 octane pump gas and 110 racing fuel what Ratio do you mix it at, and do you ever use it straight? A friend that runs a speed shop just gave me 10 gallons to try.

    Thanks,
    Tom McCAbe

Mix 'till the pinging goes away. Or advance your timing to take advantage of the fuel. I personally use a few gallons per tank.

      Tom,

Right now, since I just rebuilt "LADY" I am running pure unadulterated 110! Once I get a couple of hundred miles on her I will change it to 1 gallon of 110 to every 4 gallons of 93 - that is what I was told to start with for a mixture on my 1963 Z06 fuellie (LADY)

Tom - I have a 66 427/425 11:1 Timing 12 degrees btdc Echelin 1810 Vacuum can - I use anywhere from a 50/50 mix to mix of 5 gallons racing to 7 gallons 93 octane. No pinging - no dieseling at shut off. Car runs great.

Thanks to all, I will start with 50/50 first and go from there, is $310 a good price for a whole barrel?

          Thanks for the responses,
