68 427/435 on e-bay

Is the owner of this car (corvette bronze with orange interior) on this board? I know it's a long shot, but this car is very close to my serial number and I have a question. If you see this, please e-mail me at richgj3@aol.com.

Thanks. My car 25971 and the stamp pad on the block is the same as his, T0708. It is also an L71. I was curious to know his body build date (mine is L18) and the big question which has to do with the center gauge bezel. The TM&JG says all 68's are smooth, and 69's are grained. Mine is grained, which is not correct, unless we assume the change over started late in 68. The other possibility is mine was replaced at some point, but the car is original with 33K miles and I know the original ownwer and no one claims to have changed it. Every time I see a late 68, I ask the question. I have found others who have grained center bezels, but no one who can state absolutely that it came from the factory that way.

So that's what I was going to ask. If you could pass this on or give me an e-mail address for him, I'd appreciate it. I don't like to respond via e-bay with questions when I'm not a buyer.
