i bought a parts car from a guy, included was a whole snot load of stuff. one of the parts that has me puzzled is this tach. the geometry of it, along with the casing that houses it, is the same as my 69. the numbers are white, and the yellow warning stripe starts at 5000rpm. any clue what year this might be for? most of this stuff is 69. all 1969 displays were green right?

I'm sure it's of use to someone; even if the "works" are bad, the face plate, if in good condition, would be useful to a 72-74 owner needing one.
You can check for operation by inserting a tach drive cable and "turning it up" with an electric drill. I recommend using a variable speed type and turning it up gradually. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
