I have just had the king pins on the my 54 replaced and since then I have a continuous problem of the front hub caps spinning off the wheels while driving. This is not to say that the king pins are the issue, its just that this is the only variable that had changed before the problem started. Both caps fit on to the rims very tight and are hard to remove with a lever so it is not a loose fitting problem. Does any one have an answer or has any one had the same problem.

I would look at the wheels immediately and would not drive the car again until I was completely sure the wheels were sound and safe. Also, check the torque on the lug nuts. They should be at 100ft/lbs and no more or less. Improper torque can cause the wheel to distort. All of these conditions are dangerous and should be checked immediately.
