I have an 89 vet with an intercooled procharger which after a layup of 4 years has developed a problem of starting when warm which is becoming progresivly worse. After returning to the car after 4 years it started and ran fine, untill on one occasion it developed a misfire, I stopped the car and went to restart it but it just cranked and cranked with no hint of fire. After a 10 min wait the car started and limped home with a misfire. Since that day the misfire has almost disapeared the car starts instantly when cold, but the car is still hard to start when hot but once started runs okish. If the car is left for about 10 mins even though still up to temperature it then starts.Recently the problem has got worse in that sometimes the car wants to stall at red lights and i have to hold it on the brake with some extra revs on.If when hot some easystart is sprayed into the inlet it will fire instantly.I have checked the fuel pump and fuel pressure in the rail which is high and constant,I have removed the injectors and han the spray pattern checked, and fitted new fuel filter and removed the pump and cleaned the inside of the tank. The spark is excellent but I did fit a new coil. ignition module ,plugs and high performance leads. It has also had a new manifold absolute pressure sensor recently. The car also has no fault codes. Please anyone help as I have recently moved to New Zealand and I cant register the car here until it starts reliably. Thanks for any replies.
