    Steering Column Assembly

I am in the process of re-assembling the 1961 steering column after a year of restoration and I should have taken better notes! There is a small U shape copper contact with a single hole. Does this contact attach to a screw that secures the turning signal switch and make contact with the cancellation ring?

    Thanks for any help!

            Ray...

The parts in the steering housing are the center spring, lock wedge, horn brush and pivot bolt...unless Bubba was around thats about it, including of course the cancel switch ring and turn signal switch/wires.

                Thanks! Dennis

The part went to the lower screw of the turning signal switch and I believed it is used for centering. I noticed that there was a different recess at this point, installed it and everything seems to work fine now. I thought I was taking good notes during restoration, but I missed this one.

                Thanks for the response!
