Members,
Today I was in one of the local Corvette shops and saw brake lines that raise a question that the '65 TIM & JG does not address.
The metal lines that go from the tab on the trailing arm to the brake caliper are the subject of this post.
There were metal lines with springs wrapped around the portion of the line that makes the 180 degree bend. They were marked 1965 to 1968. There were also lines that are the same except NO springs marked 1969 to 1982.
I'm sure that I removed the original lines from my '65 and they had no springs. I still have what I believe to be the originals. The TIM & JG does not address spring versus no spring lines.
I call upon the experts to bail me out. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Gene
