    suspension detailing paints???

this is for a midyear, any of the eastwood products or por 15 any good. I want to make the suspension, tie rods, rear end, brake dust shields etc. look nice since bare metal won't last. How do you do a top flight car and keep it looking good???? I am sending my brake booster to brake boosters in Calif. for replate but don't know what to do with the above items. Thanks for the imputs.

The Technical Guide/Judging Manual for your specific model year will detail the finis for each component. Don't paint tie rods, rear differential, etc. Most are these are bare metal. You WILL lose points.

Keeping bare parts looking new is a challenge.

Protect the "natural" parts with Prelube 6 or similar products (the new "CorrosionX" stuff is even better) until you have the car judged, then forget about it and drive the car and enjoy it. That solution doesn't work for the guys who just have to have six or seven Top Flights, but they don't drive their cars anyway

        John,

You realize you can't just put the "CorrosionX" name up there without giving us some info on where to get it. That's just not fair. Especially to the 3 cans of PreLube 6 I have on the shelf.

I've been using the CorrosionX for several years and have found it performs well in my non-air controlled garage along the coast.

They have a series of products designed for marine use and probably why they are not familiar to the automotive crowd...they have other products as well that I've tried and have found perform well.

Just ordered the aerosol, the squirt bottle, the fishing reel stuff and two spray bottles for the guns....

            We'll see how it works.

The Florida bugs come off a lot easier...plus a lot of other debris that collects on the nose.
