If my recollection is correct, I think that Dennis Portka in Hamburg, NY is considered one of the best KO wheel restorers out there. He's also the horn restorer extraordinaire. I think that he advertises in the Driveline.
As far as tires go, you can obtain reproductions of the 7.75-15 Goodyear Power Cushion gold stripe tires from Kelsey Tire of Camdenton, MO (www.kelseytire.com). Their tires are also available through any Goodyear franchised dealer. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: wheels & tires
David & Joe,
I am considering these tires for my '65. Here is a question that may be important for both of us.
Do I remember correctly (from a previous posting) that the Goodyear reproduction will or will not fit inside the mid-year tire tub? If the originals did, I can see any reason the repop won't unless the mold has been changed.
I realize that I will have to replace the long bolts that hold the lid in place.
Thanks for any additional insight.
Regards,
Gene- Top

Re: wheels & tires
I heard Dennis Portka stopped doing wheel restorations. Not positive. He restored my horns about ten years ago and he is top notch.- Top
