67 DC Rallys

Hello,
I have a question about correct 67 DC rally wheels. I know that they are 15x6 and have a DC stamp on the wheel next to the valve stem. I have encountered two versions of the DC stamp and wondered which is correct and acceptable? Or are they both correct for ncrs and judging? I have seen some that are exactly 1/4 inch and some that are 3/16 of an inch. If they are a both acceptable why are they different? I am also looking to buy 1 Original 67 Bolt On wheel.

Ben - Check the manufacture date info (month, 1-12 and year, last two digits, 66 or 67) on the inside of the rim. I believe the larger wheel code stamps will show a late '66 and probably thru calendar year '67 manufacture date. Knowing the manufacture date will tell you if the wheel is appropriate for the car. The manufacture date is typically a month before the car was built or that month if the car was built later in the month; but of course can also be several months before the car was built. Pete
