'67 BB Radiator

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the early (prior to 1-19-67) '67 BB radiators used the brass drain plug instead of the brass drain-cock? According to the '67
AIM the brass drain plug was changed sometime after the date listed
above to the cock-drain type. Is there any truth to this? I had one supplier of midyear parts tell me that the plug was used only on the '66 model year
car and not the '67 BB cars.

I have an early (October 1966 - #2396) 67 coupe. The radiator has a drain cock.

Also have Oct. '66 BB (23##) with drain cock.
