Trying to help a friend in Toronto to locate a reputable shop in his area to re-cover two 68 seats. Can anyone help.

All major Vette parts houses (Ecklers, Mid America, Corvette Central, etc.) sell either the seat covers by themselves or already mounted on new foam. It really isn't a tough job to recover them. Just pay attention to how you disassemble and also it help on reassambly if you make a long hook out of steel wire in order to help pull the wires through the foam to the seat backs, where you attach them with steel rings. Also, I've heard it really help to let the leather sit in the sun before installation, to help it stretch onto the foam and reduce wrinkling. Pretty basic project.

Try Diamond Trim in Aurora. 10 Furbacher Ln, Aurora, ON L4G 6W1. 905-726-3221. They were used many times on Dreamcar Garage (Legendary Motors), and my brother used them to totally replace the interior of his '65 Buick Riviera. He said that they do exceptional work, but may take a few weeks to get an appointment with them.
