The TIM & JG says that "Trico" and patent numbers are on the underside of the arm body. Since this is not visible as the car sits, how is this handled during judging? My impression is that aside from removing the shielding, dropping the spare, laying out the jack etc. and the glove box contents, no deductions are taken for items a judge would have to touch in order to see the numbers or other identification.

Re: '64 Wiper Arm Judging
There's a cleaver item called an 'INSPECTORS MIRROR' that can enter any/all free space and with a flash light, savvy judges can take your breath away with their mirror manipulation dexteriority!!! Also, the senior judge's 'braile' finger tips can work miracles in 'reading' correct/original font emboss on the underside of factory original Trico wiper arms....
Last, you'll find a 'catch-all' in the NCRS Corvette Judging Reference Manual (the 'white' book) per Section 2, Rule 22 -- Removal Of Items For Judging. Give it a test read to understand the BREADTH of discretion left to the judges in terms of asking an owner to remove any/all items (including obscuring paint) from a car in order to 'facilitate' the judging process!- Top
