Re: A REAL DEAL CROSSES THE BLOCK
Art,
Thanks for sharing.
It's been a priviledge to see it all unfold on VH over the last few weeks - except for the way it ended. I truly hope that the car is restored to its former racing glory, and not messed up.

Re: A REAL DEAL CROSSES THE BLOCK
You know the potential for it to get messed up is very high. Someone will look at that stamp, know it is "wrong", and then "restore" it correctly with a "correct" block.
It is rough to do, but if you want to save a real piece of history, Art needs to find the winner and inform him. I know that is tough after losing it.- Top

'57 Nassau engine shot?
In Noland Adams' book "Corvette - American Legend, #4", there is an interesting photo on page 257. It's a large shot of an early 4360 injected engine in a HD brake Corvette without an airbox.
Note the three digit number and the creases in the foil inspection tag on the FI main diaphragm cover. Also note the funky pulley fan blades on the generator and the orientation of the generator wiring harness. Anything look familiar?- Top
