    67 radio speaker

Hi there, I'm trying to replace the radio speaker on my 67 air coupe and am having a hard time getting to the mounting bolts. Can anyone tell me what all I need to remove to get the speaker out?

I assume you have remove both side panels. If you remove the clock it will allow you to see what you are trying to get at. Use a 8-10" extension on your 1/4 ratchet set. Take your time and you will easily be able to remove the screws and reinstall later.
    Good Luck

If it's an air conditioned car it's much more difficult. The center a/c duct makes the front driver's side stud almost impossible to get to. Others may know a whiz-bang way but short of taking the center a/c duct out, which is a bear, or easing the instrument cluster out a bit by replacing the cluster screws with some studs and getting to it that way, I don't know of any other way. Doing the same thing right now.

I have done a few mid years with air and I always loosen the instrument cluster and carefully let hang down to access the left rear (closest to driver) nut. You will probably have to loosen the steering colunm to let it down. Don H.
