Fellow Vette Owners,
I just can't help myself after reading the previous posts on the new C-6. First, I admit that I'm an old geezer when it comes to Corvettes and I'm stuck in the 60's. I will also admit that these new C-4, C-5 and the new C-6 are great Vettes with great creature comforts and power options.
What I cannot live with is the companies like Ford and Chrysler having the cars like the GT-40, Cobra and Viper and Chevrolet is trying to sell this "Butt Ugly" fiberglass thing to us Corvette owners.
It's just got to be beautiful and pleasing to the eye. Think of the great cars of the world and you think of Ferrari Daytona. Beauty that just cannot be defined on paper. It is in the eyes of the beholder that car guys all over the world appreciate cars like those.
Now Ford is selling the GT-40 again. Beauty that pleases the eye and soothes the soul. The Cobra that is the most masculine every built and truly a car with brute strength flowing from every line.
And now Chrysler Dodge has the Viper. Shall I rant on?
Chevrolet says the Corvette performs well in the wind tunnel and that's why the body looks like that. UGH!
I don't think I'll ever have the need to drive a Corvette in a wind tunnel but I would be embarassed to drive one to a Corvette show or Club event.
Sorry to take up the technical space, but I feel better now.
Regards,
JR
