My C1 baffle home made bracket?

    Please see the attached pictures.

After a little self education thru the AIM and catalogs and closer examiniation it looks like I do have the radiator baffle in my car.

However it looks like it is attached with some home made sheet metal brackets. Please take a look and confirm this is an incorrect installation. I do know that at one time this car was hit in the front. There is a bent back RH bumper and some lower valence repair.

    thanks

I agree Mikey. Haven't ever seen it in at least the 61-62 groups. Heard on a NC radio station today that it is National Bubba Day. Maybe....? Dick

Is red paint supposed to be black outed?

I just looked at my radiator baffle pictures again and I see red paint coming out behind the blackout paint. From what I can read in the JGM it says that the area behind the grille should be blacked out.

How did this happen on the assembly line?

Was the body painted on the frame, then the blackout was shot thru the grille opening and from under the hood and then the engine was dropped in?
