What is the correct part number for the Delco Remy starter solenoid used with the big block engine? There is no mention of it in the Judges Reference Manual and it is not listed in my 53-82 parts catalog-

The solenoid was the same for both big blocks and small blocks. It was GM #1114356. This solenoid was painted black and had a black plastic end cap. It is usually stamped with its part number.

Joe: What was the 1114344 solonoid used for? I have one mounted on a 1107242 starter. Is it not the correct solonoid? Len 39247

I can find no information that a starter solenoid GM #1114344 ever existed. If this is the correct number, it's POSSIBLE that it was a PRODUCTION-only time that I don't have any information on.
