    discrepency in Nolan book-62 340hp

On pg 364 it shows the throttle return bracket on the first manifold bolt.

On page 365 it is shown on the 2nd manifold bolt, but it is also a RPO 242 car.

The AIM and JGM both say should be on first bolt however there was a complete Redrawn and Revised on 12-6-61 in the AIM which means that something completely different may have been there before Christmas.

Does anybody have any knowledge of which way is correct? I am told out in California there are some who believe it should be on the 2nd bolt. (Owner of vehicle on page 364 which is the "incorrect" one!!)

Also you will notice that the pg 364 has an incorrect black oil filler tube and cap meaning the engine has been touched by someone.

There are a lot of discrepencies in the book. That is understandable. There is a set of pictures that is supposed to be 65 and is actually 66, and there is a picture of a 66 with 67 leather seats just to name a couple.

You have noticed one of the unfortunate shortcomings of Noland's otherwise great books. Mainly, the photos are not identified as to whether they are from the GM archives or from some local show and shine. Too bad... They can tend to confuse and misslead inquiring minds.
