Hello,
I'm working on the restoration of a 1965 Corvette convertible with a 396/425 engine. For NCRS flight judging, I'm trying to determine whether the water pump nipple that is screwed into the water pump should appear paint or partially painted with Chevrolet Orange paint. Logically since the water pump was installed on the engine before the engine was painted, all components should have been painted. My question is this, was the nipple installed on the water pump before engine painting or after? For judging, should the nipple be painted or natural colored?
Thanks,
James West
