    attach engine stand to bellhousing??

    Is it OK to hang the engine off a engine stand by the aluminum bellhousing??

    No. Remove the bell housing (and possibly the clutch and flywheel for attachment clearance) and hang the engine from the bell housing bolt holes on the rear of the block. With the bell housing still in place the weight of the engine is cantilevered out too far from the stand

      I thought so. I guess I need to redesign my floor dolly engine stand. Would not work after I installed the starter and vent tube. What a pain getting those starter bolts in, even sitting there in front of me!!

        Use the "Moto-Feet" engine dolly. This is the best, most versatile, and most efficient engine dolly out there. Using it, you can install the flywheel and bellhousing, starter, and other engine peripheral parts with no problem, at all.

              I don't think that they have a web-site. They are located in Arizona, though. They are available from Performance Automotive Warehouse (PAW) as well as other suppliers.
