At the suggestion of the PO, I have a new front motor mount on the way. Since it'll need to be painted, do I need to worry about not painintg the area around the ports for the WP passages, or does it matter? My guess is no, but I'd kind of like not to muck this up. Thanks!

It was originally painted as part of the engine after the engine was assembled; I've always painted them separately before assembly, have never had a problem. Use a non-hardening sealer (like Permatex #2, not silicone) on the gaskets, and use a good thread sealer on the bolts (they all go into the water jackets).- Top
