Fuel / PCV line clamps & Starter Field Coil screws

What year did the fuel line hose and PCV hose spring clamps change from square ends to the rounded ends?

Also wondering what year the starter field coil mounting screws changed from sloted screws to phillips screws?

I know these are only slight deductions on the judging field but it's an easy fix for everyone to make on their cars. Thanks.

Re: Fuel / PCV line clamps & Starter Field Coil sc

    Zachary-----

The phillips head starter field coil screws were phased in over the 1967 to 1969 period. Starters with the first 4 digit part numbers of "1107" were originally fitted with slotted head screws. Starters with "1108" or "1109" were originally fitted with phillips head screws. With virtually no exception, 1967 and earlier starters used the slotted head screws. 1968 was a transition year. With only minor exception, 1969 and later used the phillips head screws.

Of course, after any starter goes through a high production, commercial rebuilder's operation these could change. Rebuilders strip down cores to component parts, save as many parts as they can (including these screws), and replace only what absolutely has to be replaced (i.e. brushes, bearings). All of the salvaged parts go into bins to be drawn from as the starters are "built up", much in the same fashion as the starters were originally assembled new in Anderson, IN. The difference is that all of the parts are USED and may come from any number of different "generations" of starters. Where parts are interchangeable, they go into the same bins.

As far as the fuel line clips go, I have no information.
