oil pressure guage

I own a 65 327/350 hp corvette which was built Jan.65 It has no options. It is also 4 speed and would like to know what oil ptessure guage is suppose go with this high horse car. Is it 60# or is it an 80#.

Your car was originally fitted with a 60 PSI max oil gauge.

The 80 PSI max gauge was used with L-76, L-84, and L-78. These engines had solid lifters and used a high pressure oil pump. Thus, the need for the higher max pressure oil gauge. All other engines, including the L-79, used a standard pressure oil pump and required only and receieved the 60 PSI max gauge.
