Tire sidewall options for 69

I have an early production 69 built in Sept. 1968. From what I understand reading the TG, black sidewalls are my only option. Just want to double check before I buy. Also, I see police pursuit tires mentioned allot. Are these from Goodyear or?

Tire sidewall options were available from the outset of the 1969 model year. What was not available until after September, 1968 was the RAISED WHITE LETTER tire sidewall option (RPO PU9). The blackwall (standard), white stipe and red strip tires were available from the beginning of the 1969 model year.

The three available V-rated "police pursuit tires" in sizes 225/70R-15 and 235/70R-15 are the Goodyear Eagle RSA, Firestone Firehawk PV41, and General XP2000V4. The Goodyear and Firestone are blackwall only. The General is available in blackwall or narrow whitewall.
