Would one of you transmission guys take a look at auction #7901310184 and identify this transmission? Seller says dates don't make sense!

Looks like a service replacement - stamped assy date is July '68, tailshaft casting date is June '68, and production transmissions had aluminum side covers (not steel/cast iron).

Thanks John, friend needs one for a 61 Corvette, thought it was a replacement, but wasn't sure how long they kept making them.

They made them for a long time. After GM ceased to use the T-10 in 1963, Ford, Chrysler and AMC continued to use them in PRODUCTION. It's possible that this was a transmission originally used in one of those.
