327 valve cover-aluminum rocker arms

Dear Members,
I am running the 327/350hp aluminum valve covers for my 67. Am I able to apply aluminum roller rocker arms with sufficient clearance. I am using stock cast iron heads. I was originally going to run the stamped ones with roller tips, but Joe had mentioned the lack of performance over stock stamped Chevy pieces. Thank you much!

i have a set of crane's rockers in one of my mid years. (365 hp 64) i had to double the valve cover gaskets. mike

Another suggestion is using GM's rocker cover adapter. In the GM Performance Parts book is a listing of part #24502540 which is for a pair of adapters machined from billet aluminum. These adapters are for mounting perimeter/flange mount bolt valve covers on 87 and up center bolt cylinder heads and can be used on older installations to raise the original type valve covers for roller rocker clearance. The adapters are machined for a o-ring gasket on one side and the replacement o-ring is part # 12480023.
