I recently purchased a 327 engine from a machine shop that was going out of business. Completely rebuilt, balanced with a 284 lift and 460 duration cam along with 10.5 to 1 compression ratio. This ensine is topped off with a old edelbrock Torker intake with a 700 cfm holley. This engine would be going in a 1966 Corvette with a turbo 350 with a 2500 converted and 411 gears. I am thinking that the cam is a little much but if I wanted to stay with it what intake/ carb do the experts recommended? Thanks, In advance

If I recall correctly, the Edelbrock Torker is a single plane manifold ( I know, fore sure, that the Torker II is single plane). I don't recommend a single plane manifold for street operation. I've found their low end power and torque to be lacking and I wouldn't use one again. Also, Chevrolet NEVER, EVER used a single plane manifold on ANY PRODUCTION engine, small block or big block. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
