blue Certification label on '70 & '71's

I noticed that on my '71, this label has the typed engine assembly date and letter code as well as vin #.

Never had this on any of my '70's labels, any out there have this as well?

I didn't notice this on the late '69's either. Does anyone know when this started or ended?

Warren,

1968-1971 Certification labels were originally imprinted from the protect-o-plate. On occasion the plate was not properly aligned and parts of the engine assembly code show up on the cert label. This is a random occurrence.

That makes perfect sense to me. I guess I'm very lucky to have one with the additional information. Having this extra tidbit, on the label and a Corvette Order copy (carbon paper version) showing the partial vin # also just makes verifying the options on this particular car, that much sweeter!
