C2 Stuck Seat Belt Webbing

My 1967 had been in storage since 1979 when I bought it. I removed the seat belts from the car with no problem, but when I try to move the material (adjust the straps) there is some corrosion on the back side of the buckle where the belt slides through and they are stuck. Prior to using "gorilla" force to get the webbing free and adjustable again does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to free this up?

My 67 had the same problem when I first got it. I kept "working" the webbing back and forth and finally got it freed up. It took a while. I gave up on it a couple of times and came back to it, but persistance finally paid off

Throw them in a bucket of hot water &

Tide detergent for 2 or 3 days.

Do you use "liquid" tide or the powdered stuff?
