    1972 REAR COMPARTMENT TRAY

I have been trying to locate a REAR COMPARTMENT TRAY passenger side for my 1972 corvette . The only repo I can find is 5 in deep. Is a 6 1/4 in avaiable?

I am also looking for the black oxide machine screws that mount the door/lids to the frame . thanks

    John-----

The original rear compartment tray was a flock-lined, pressed fiberboard tray which was about 6-1/4" deep. I believe that the current "reproduction" seen most often is actually the GM SERVICE piece which is flock-lined PVC plastic and about 5" deep. Dr. Rebuild may have a correct reproduction of the original style tray and I'm quite sure that he has an original-configuration screw kit.

If memory serves 'correct' repro of early 'deep' trays are now being built by the fellas who were re-flocking originals. Try thumbing through your copy of NCRS Driveline magazine...I think that's where I saw the 'flash' on whole blood units being available.

Just to clarify something for me. Were the 5 1/2 deep boxes
orginial for any C3? Are all these repo or service replacement? Thanks for info.
