The screw kit has 18 star washers and 9 lock washers. There are 9 bolts in the front and 9 screws that thread into the J-nuts. Where do the star washers go and where do the lock washers go? Is there a stacked star washer/lock washer combo on some of the screws/bolts?

What year? Every 57-62 that I've had had a captive flat washer on a Phillip's screw--no lock washers, no star washers.

Early 1960. The AIM doesn't appear to show the front nine screws with any type of washers, unless there are captive washers and the drawing doesn't have enough detail to show captive washers. The 2 side and 7 rear screws don't show any type of washers either. The kit that everyone sells is where I am coming up with the star and lock washers.Comment
