Rare lies in the eye of the beholder.... Catalogs list refurbished originals in the $125 range with a $150 core charge. So, if you're totally missing the regulators in your doors, his asking price isn't out of line. But, you can generally do better than the catalogs at Corvette 'bone yards,' buy only the worn repair components you need and do the repairs yourself.
