C2 Gas Tank Part Number Stencil Placement Location

Hello,

I need to know what the correct placement location is for the gas tank painted part number on a 1964 Corvette. I beleive it is on the right side of the tank? Is the part number put on up-side-down like the frame stencil or right-side-up?

Not all mid years had the part number stencil on the gas tank. Just one or a few per pallet as-delivered to St. Louis. If there's no evidence that your tank had a stencil, then you can just forget about this aspect of "originality". Why bother to "restore" something that likley wasn't there in the first place?

If there is evidence of a stencil, photograph it and replace the stencil in similar fashion.
