    1959 Converible Top Frame Bows/Hardware

I am in the process of restoring the convertible topframe on my '59 and had a few questions. I cleaned all of the bows down to bare metal, and I noticed that the front bow (header) is aluminum. Does any portion of the front bow get painted the gloss black or does it remain natural?

Second question has to do with the fasteners on the frame (i.e., bolting, etc). Does all the hardware remain natural or is it painted black by NCRS standards?

The header remains aluminum. Hardware on the body is inside body color, frame painted what ever color your doing it.

My experience is that the front header bow for the hardtop remains aluminum, while the front bow for the soft top is painted black--low-grade gloss black.
Soft top mounts on the body are body color, on the soft top frame are black. The carriage bolts that attach the soft top frame to the body mounts are natural (cad plate?)--not painted.
