This '57 is going together and is gorgeous! One of the missing parts is the air cleaner for the FI unit. I have purchased the reproduction cover and element but do not see anybody reproducing the base. Is there base available, new or used out there? Thanks Y'all... Terry Plata, Dallas Texas.

bases have been repo'd in the past and they've shown up on the judging field. the repo ones i've judged lack a "tab" on the periphery of the base. the tab is about 3/16 wide and protrudes beyond the outside diameter of the base by about 1/32". the repo lids i've seen in the past were also not quite 100% in that the wire mesh screen that captures the felt flame arrestor top the baskm side of the lid differs from original screeens. no one has a repo element that i'm aware of. mike -
