Re: test
Clem,
If you are referring to Norton's Utilities "one Button Checkup", I have the same, and just checked out options and advanced settings and found no provision for deleting cookies. Not listed under clean sweep feature either. The only way I know to delete cookies is through finding files or folders containing cookies, and manually deleting them individually or in mass. Sorry not to be able to help further.- Top

Re: test
I checked again, and can find no link between one button checkup and deleting cookies. As for Macafee, they are why I have Norton. I seem to remember an option in preferences with the operating system (mine is Windows ME) about deleting cookies everytime the system is shut down, but can't remember how that sets up. Maybe #1 Son will know. Good luck.- Top

Re: test
just tried it manually using the "one button checkup" and it kick out the cookies. the other times it happen was after the once a week automatic checkup was done. i wanted to make sure that is what was causing the problem. waiting for #1 son to drop of the grand kids for a over night sleep over and i will get him to check it out. i guess my money spent at pitt on him for a electricial engineering degree is paying off.- Top

Re: test
Click on "Web Tools"
Then Bottom right hand corner in very tiny letters click on "Options"
In the next window insert the web site (i.e. ncrs.org) and then click on each ot the three columns for the information you want to keep: "cookies, cache, history" for the web site you just input. You'll need to that for each web site for which you want to retain information
Hope this helps- Top
