C2 Exterior Rearview Mirror

I appear to have a service replacement mirror for my 66 convertible. The mirror is in excellent shape except for not having a date code in the mirror surface. The JM indicates two different mirror suppliers -- Donnelly Mirror (DMI) and Ajax (AX). I intend to have the mirror date coded and the manufacturer's abbrev. name appears in the code. Is there any distinguishing features between mirrors built by DMI versus AX?

While there may be some source ID emboss differences to distinguish AJAX from Donnelly, these would be cosmetically hidden and not visible once the glass is installed and the mirror mounted on the car. Obviously, it was Chevy's intent to have multiple supply sources that appeared identical to the end consumer. You can order dated glass from Paragon (DMI designation) and it'll install PERFECTLY into your existing mirror housing!
