C1 59: Wooden trunk spare tire lid

    Hi all,

Should the wooden trunk spare tire lid be unpainted or painted black for a late '59-er (currently the car holds an unpainted one) ?

    greetings,
    Rob.

It is a black stain, just get some stain and thin it with thinner and wipe it on with a rag on both sides. Don't make it real dark and don't forget to smear extra glue around the labels and the foam on the bottom side.

      Thanks Jerry,

Can you (or some else) publish or send me a picture showing where the foam should be attached and how the stained lid should look like.

      thanks,
      Rob.
