    1964 - No headlights

Changed out the original dimmer switch for a Pargaon repro and now have no headlights. Possibly I got too rough when removing the original plug from the switch and lost connectivity. How do you test voltage on the female plug? There are three connections on the plug, two in a row, one offset. I assume one is hot coming in and two are hot going out to low and high beams respectively. Any suggestions for a test? Sorry, but I do not have a wiring diagram. Thanks.
    Best regards,
    Charlie

Charlie, you are correct, one wire is hot from the headlight switch and the other two go to high and low beam. just find the hot lead with a test light and jump to one of the other two. You could have a bad switch ( even new ).
