62 oval exhaust option

Is there any way to determine which exhaust came with my 62 340hp vehicle?

I believe the ovals were a free flow option and therefore I will never be sure since I do not have the order label.

Does anyone know if most of the 360 and / or 340's came with theovals?

Chris: Oval shape mufflers are the way too quiet standard exhaust. Round mufflers were the "off road" good sounding ones. All should have been equipped with those. Best, Dennis

In addition...

In 1962, the off road exhaust system usually (but not always) shows up as a low cost option. This kind of throws a little curve at me. Does it mean all engine configurations could have either? If so, then if the mufflers have been replaced, it would be difficult to prove how it originally came. But again, when in doubt, go for the round ones... Dennis
