Does anyone recollect what the admission fee was last year for the Bloomington Gold show in St. Charles? I just got my 2004 Bloomington Gold flyer/application, and it states that for me to bring my car and my wife for one day is $30.00, or $15.00 PER PERSON, not PER CAR. A four day pass with my car is $40.00 PER PERSON, or $80.00 if I can tolerate dragging my wife along for 4 days. I dunno, maybe its just me, but it seems to be quite a bit pricier this year, and also pricier than Carlisle was, which easily blows away Bloomington, in my opinion. Maybe this weather just makes me crabby....

Re: Bloomington Gold 2004
Unfortunately, during the Road Tour last year I was reaching back, pulling the T-Tops out of the bags and putting them on AND installing the rear window while my buddy was driving at 60 MPH with 30 year old windshield wipers trying not to lose sight of a C4 in front of us in a downpour on Keslinger Road and as soon as I got the rear window latches made IT QUIT RAINING and a cool rainbow came out and then I guess some lady in a C4 flipped her car over in a ditch.... The year before that, my alternator died in the middle of St. Charles right by the Municipal building in a downpour on that Friday because it was right after my Carburetor Seminar and I had to walk up the hill in the pouring rain to the west about 2 miles to Thompson Auto Supply (by the DQ, for those in the know....rather have gone to the NAPA, but it was a bit further) where they gave me a rebuilt Delco-Remy alternator and the High School-age parts dude working there on summer break even gave me a ride back to my car which was sitting in the rain with leaky T-Top weatherstripping and water on the seats and I changed it out with a pair of Crescent wrenches the dude had in his truck at the time and mopped up the water on the seats with the parts dude's Black Crowes '91 Concert Tour T-shirt and right when I hooked up the belt IT QUIT RAINING.
Moral of this story? Yes Folks...It DOES rain in St. Charles!!If I wanna water the yard, I just pull my car out of the barn.- Top

Jeremy - admission went from $10 to $15 per head last year...so this year is the same price. I did hear David Burroughs is back in charge again, as he was distrubed the show had been declining. I think this will be a really good thing......Craig- Top
