    Restoring wheels

    I have a nice '62 with wheels that are grungy on the inside. Looks bad compared to the nice chassis. What's the correct way to get the wheels to top NCRS standards ?

    As far as I know, the method is to blast existing paint to get to bear metal and re-paint per outline of JG....

        What about chemically dipping them?? -RediStrip? Does this do more harm than good? jc

            If you enjoy the spraying, scraping, rinsing and waste disposal associated with paint stripper, it's your call. Personally, I prefer the cleanliness of a sealed air re-circulation blast cabinet. On wheels, there's not really an issue of preserving original surface texture where paint striper might bring an advantage to blasting....
